Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed doll to the locked artifacts room in their home, placing her "safely" behind sacred glass and enlisting a priest's holy blessing. But an unholy night of horror awaits as Annabelle awakens the evil spirits in the room, who all set their sights on a new target -- the Warrens' ten-year-old daughter, Judy, and her friends. First-time director Gary Dauberman makes a strong debut behind the camera, managing to craft inventive scares that play around with audience expectations. While the film still has some jump-scares that don't really work, the horror in the film does reach more efficacious and creative heights than that. There are also some moments in the film when the viewer thinks a jump-scare might happen, but it actually does not, which helps balance surprise with suspense during the film's duration.

While it's not perfect, this is a pretty solid horror film that should please fans of the franchise. I think this third Annabelle movie was trying to keep the cycle of Conjuverse going, and somehow, it successfully did. The attention to detail through design, the cinematography, and the film score makes the movie look and feels very much retro, and the effort with it, is paid-off. It also emphasize the theme about facing-your-fears, the compassion of friendship, and the subtle message of obidience. However, this sort of emphasis makes the natural essence of turmoil within the movie's concept blurry, unheavy and inconsequential.
H.E.R Wants To Be Addressed By Her Government Name
She sneaks into the artifacts room and starts examining every item, ultimately trying to contact her late father. She abruptly leaves Annabelle's glass case unlocked, and the terror begins shortly afterwards with the spirit of Annabelle "Bee" Mullins unleashed. That night, Annabelle begins releasing other spirits, such as the Ferryman, the Bride, a Feeley Meeley board game, and the Black Shuck. Pictures announced that a then-untitled film in the Conjuring Universe franchise would be released on July 3, 2019. Dauberman uses audience perceptions of space, color and light to create some interesting scares with the Warrens' artifacts. The film's lighting is superb, managing to make the film's aesthetic be both clear and ominous at the same time. While the film's sets are somewhat minimalist, that works to the narrative's advantage. While I like the original two "Conjuring" movies, I have not cared much for the spin-offs in the franchise that I have seen.
It was released in a May 2022 Blu-ray collection with the other The Conjuring Universe movies. Annabelle Comes Home - Official Trailer #1
Still, the writers come up with some rather creative and frightening demonic spirits. Yet it holds back on the blood and violence, not really earning its R rating. Annabelle Comes Home is one of the weaker entries in the series, but it still delivers some good scares. Determined to keep Annabelle from wreaking more havoc, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren lock the possessed doll in the artifacts room in their house. But when the doll awakens the room's evil spirits, it soon becomes an unholy night of terror for the couple's 10-year-old daughter, her friends and their young baby sitter. Annabelle Comes Home was theatrically released in the United States on June 26, 2019, by Warner Bros.
The most things it failed to do is to keep the viewers' engagement with the characters. Some of these characters is lacking strong qualities of dimention in their traits. It did not deliver the scare factor, and if it did, the execution is not strong enough. Imagine a war without any explosion, no damage dealt, and no one have gotten into a serious war shock after the climatic commotions – this is how I felt watching this movie. In this third Annabelle movie's case, the potential of its story is wasted because of continuous cheap scare-centric.
The end credits start with a dedication to the real-life Lorraine Warren, who died shortly before this film's release. Ed and Lorraine return the next morning, and the girls approach them to recount the eventful night. Daniela apologizes to Lorraine, who gives her a comforting message from her father.
'Annabelle Comes Home' is the third installment of New Line Cinema’s hugely successful 'Annabelle' films starring the infamous sinister doll from the 'Conjuring' universe. While babysitting Judy Warren, Mary Ellen and her friend unwittingly release the Annabelle doll from its confines in the Warren's artifact room, along with several other cursed objects, which then proceed to attack the girls. Despite the title, the film isn't really about Annabelle; as she's only one of several cursed objects that have to be overcome.
Demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren confiscate the Annabelle doll from nurses Debbie and Camilla, who claimed that the doll often performed violent activities in their apartment. During the drive back home, the doll summons spirits to attack Ed, but he narrowly survives. Annabelle is locked in a sacred glass case in the couple's artifacts room that is blessed by Father Gordon to ensure the evil is contained.

Sometime later, the Warrens welcome Mary Ellen, who will be in charge of babysitting their daughter, Judy, at the house while they travel overnight to investigate another case. At school, Judy notices a ghostly priest that begins following her. Mary Ellen's friend, Daniela, arrives uninvited to the Warrens' home, who is secretly curious about speaking to the dead.
